Privacy notice

Last updated 23 October 2026

This notice explains what personal information Fullyscaled Ltd holds, why, and what you can do about it. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact us through our contact form, at hello@fullyscaled.net, or write to Fullyscaled Ltd, 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA.

Visiting the website

We run no advertising trackers and load no third-party analytics scripts. The only outside script is Cloudflare Turnstile, on the contact page (see Contact form). Our hosting provider processes standard connection data, such as your IP address, briefly to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.

Counting visits

Our own server keeps a simple count of which pages are viewed and which retailer links are clicked, so we can see what's useful. Each count records the page, the website that sent you (for example, google.com), your country and, for a retailer link, which product link it was. It doesn't record your IP address, isn't linked to you or to any other visit, and runs no code in your browser. Search engines and link previews aren't counted.

Cookies

fullyscaled.net sets no cookies. If you follow a link with a tag on it (such as ref=share when someone shares a product) and buy clothing from that page, the tag is added to your order so we can see which links lead to orders. Nothing is stored in your browser.

YouTube videos

Our "What's hot on YouTube" lists are built on our own server from YouTube's public video feeds, and the thumbnails are passed through our server too, so your browser doesn't contact YouTube while you browse. If you click a video it opens on YouTube, where Google's own privacy policy applies.

Fishing weather

When you search for a place or click the weather map, the place name or position is sent to our server to look up the forecast. Searches are passed to OpenStreetMap's place search, and positions (rounded to about 1 km) to MET Norway's forecast service; neither receives your IP address from us. If you press "Near me", your browser asks your permission and your location is used only for that forecast request. We don't store it.

Some kit links in our free carp guides go to retailers through affiliate programmes, such as Awin and Amazon Associates. Those links are marked as sponsored, and pass through our own site first so we can count the click (see Counting visits). If you click one, the retailer or the affiliate network may set its own cookie on its own website to record that you came from us, and if you buy something we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We don't receive your name, contact or payment details from them, only a total of commissions earned. Their cookies are covered by their own privacy policies. Commissions never decide what a guide recommends.

Buying from the shop

Stripe runs our checkout as merchant of record. They collect your payment and billing details and are responsible for that information under their own privacy policy. They share with us your name, email address, country and what you bought.

We use that to deliver your files, help with any problem, handle refunds and keep the company's accounts. The legal bases are performing our contract with you, our legal duty to keep accounting records, and our legitimate interest in looking after customers.

Buying clothing and printed goods

For clothing, mugs and other printed goods we are the seller. Stripe processes your payment and gives us your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and what you bought. We pass your name, delivery address, phone number and email to the print partner making your order (Printful or Prodigi) so they can make the item and post it to you, and they pass your address to the courier. We use the same information to answer questions, handle returns and keep the company's accounts. The legal bases are performing our contract with you and our legal duty to keep accounting records.

News emails

We only email you about new products if you've opted in, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Emailing us

If you email us, we keep the conversation to answer you and to deal with any follow-up, based on our legitimate interest in replying.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message, plus the page you came from, so we can reply. The form is emailed straight to our inbox through our email provider, Resend (EU region); nothing is kept on the website. Before it's sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks the form is being sent by a person, not a bot: it runs on the contact page only and looks at technical details of your browser, not who you are. We keep these emails like any other (see How long we keep it), based on our legitimate interest in replying.

Who else sees it

Only the services we use to run the shop: our checkout provider, our print partner and their couriers (for clothing orders), our email and hosting providers, and our accountant. We'll also share information where the law requires it, for example with HMRC. We never sell your information. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, it's protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK's international data transfer agreement or adequacy regulations.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they belong to, as UK company law requires. Emails are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends. News-email details are deleted when you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email us and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
