About fullyscaled

fullyscaled is a free library of carp fishing guides, diagrams and tools for UK anglers. It’s run by Fullyscaled Ltd, a small independent company registered in England and Wales.

What we do

Most carp advice online is either a sales page or a short video that shows what to do without saying why. We write the opposite: plain-English guides that explain how each rig, bait and tactic works, each with an original diagram, so you can adapt it to your own water.

Alongside the guides we build free tools: a rig finder, a bait and PVA calculator, a month-by-month carp calendar, reference charts and a glossary.

We also build PegBooker, online swim booking for small private carp lakes.

Editorial standards

• We say how we know. Guides are written from established carp-fishing practice and checked against fishery rules and the law (such as rod licences and the river close season). We don’t claim to have tested kit we haven’t, and we don’t publish made-up reviews, ratings or testimonials.
• Kit is judged on specification. When we talk about tackle we explain which features matter and why, and give price bands rather than prices that go out of date.
• Fish safety comes first. Every rig is shown on a set-up that lets the lead come free if the line breaks, and we flag rigs that some fisheries ban.
• Pictures explain, they don’t prove. Our diagrams and pictures are illustrations made to show how the kit and rigs work. They are never shown as real catches or real tests.
• Guides are dated. Each one shows when it was last updated, and we revise them when advice or rules change.
• Corrections are welcome. If something’s wrong or out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.

How we make money

The guides are free. The site is paid for in two ways:

• Affiliate links. Some kit links go to retailers through affiliate programmes such as Awin and Amazon Associates. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked as sponsored in the page code, and every guide and tackle page with them says so at the top.
• Our shop. We sell hoodies, mugs and stickers in our own carp designs in the shop. The printable downloads there are free.

Commissions never decide what a guide recommends, and no brand pays to appear in our guides. More detail on cookies set by retailers is in our privacy notice.
